Angelika M. Podgorska
Associate
Angelika works in the firm's Litigation Practice Group, focusing primarily on family law and estate litigation, with experience in general civil litigation, corporate/commercial litigation and employment law.
She has represented clients at the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia, and also at settlement conferences and before various administrative tribunals.
During her legal education, Angelika volunteered with the Law Students' Legal Advice Program, the school's non-profit, student-run legal aid clinic. She advised and represented clients, served as the clinic head at the program's clinic in Surrey, and served on the Society's Board of Directors as the program's Executive Director. Prior to studying law, Angelika ran a successful web design business for six years, gaining first-hand knowledge of business operations and the ongoing challenges of entrepreneurs.
She draws on her diverse background to provide clients with a personal and practical approach to resolving legal problems, with an emphasis on cost-effective strategies.
Angelika is conversationally fluent in Polish.
